Digilab 3D45:

The Dremel DigiLab 3D45 printer is a desktop 3D printer manufactured by Dremel, a well-known brand in the power tools industry. The 3D45 is designed specifically for educational and professional environments and offers several features that make it a popular choice for those applications.

Key Features:

  • The Dremel 3D45 is capable of printing at 50 micron resolution. With a heated bed, this printer can use PLA, Eco-ABS, Nylon, and more.
  • The onboard HD Camera helps to monitor the prints.
  • The extruder has an integrated sensor that detects when the material runs out and will automatically pause your print job so you can load a new spool.
  • The 3D45 offers assisted leveling, making it easy to level the print bed as the sensors will automatically detect the bed position and the printer will tell which way to adjust the leveling knobs.
  • The 5-inch IPS Touch Screen provides clear instructions which makes it easy to control the 3D45 printers.
Description

Designed with the classroom in mind, the Dremel Digilab 3D45-EDU Printer for Education comes with 3D lesson plans for grades 3 to 12. The lesson plans also align with Common Core and other state standards. You can also take the four-hour professional development course to better understand the basics of 3D printing and how to utilize it in your classroom. The 3D45-EDU is UL-certified.

With a single extruder and a built-in self-leveling print bed, you'll be able to print your first 3D model via Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or USB. The enclosed print area supports a build volume of 10 x 6 x 6.7". With a 50-300-micron layer resolution, the 3D45 can print using 1.75mm filaments of nylon, ECO-ABS, or PLA. The filament recognition system automatically changes the temperature to match the material. If your 3D print will take a long time, you can monitor and capture time-lapse videos of it using the built-in HD camera. The printer comes with a built-in LCD screen. There is even an active carbon filter that helps reduce exposure to potentially harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
